Basic Cable - A Blender Wire/Cable/Conduit Add-on

Basic Cable is an Addon I made to help me make things like wires and cables (obviously), conduits, pipes, and the like, as well as paths to which cameras and/or objects can be attached for animation purposes.

You create a cable collection, optionally select a preset, set anchor points, optionally add guide points, and then use dozens of other options that can help you get the look you want. Things stay as curves until you choose, and you can tweak settings and re-apply until you get just the right look. Once created, you can also delete, move, and modify individual cables in the set, apply random materials or scene materials... on and on.

Set presets, select from 32 different extrusion profiles, or create your own curve and set it as the extrusion. You can also create your own profiles in the included Adobe Illustrator file (export as SVG and import to the profiles .blend), and choose a personal location for your own profiles library. For studios, a studio preferences file allows you to set the location of the profiles for consistency.
